Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe worked together to magical effect as Paris Saint-Germain defeated RC Lens for the first time in five games on Saturday night.
Just before halftime at Parc des Princes, Messi combined with Mbappé, who made no mistake and backheeled the ball to the Argentine for a low strike.
Messi then expertly directed the entire course of action and added the finishing touches.

Meanwhile, with his goal against Lens, Messi and Mbappe each achieved a significant milestone: Mbappe became PSG’s all-time leading scorer in Ligue 1, and Messi set a new mark for goals scored in the top five leagues of Europe, a distinction he shares with rival Cristiano Ronaldo.

Lens played better than PSG in the second half, despite being a player down. A handball from PSG midfielder Fabian Ruiz following a corner gave Lens a penalty and Poland winger Przemysław Frankowski sent goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma the wrong way in the 60th.
